BETWEEN THE RINGS

FADE IN
SCENE I
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Shot of the window of a bedroom. Aranya is alone in her bedroom when Aranya walks up to her bookshelf and chooses a book. Aranya is then sitting on her bed and reading the book. Aranya gets up from the bed and is fixing her hair in the mirror when the phone rings. Aranya answers the phone and her expression is that of shock. Aranya sits down on the bed and is still on the phone, looking very angry as Aranya yells at the person on the other side of the line. Aranya keeps the phone down and then throws a stuffed toy across the room angrily.]

FADE TO BLACK
“Hour 1”
FADE IN
SCENE II
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Aranya is walking around her room, extremely frustrated. In this frustrated and angry state, she throws a globe on her bed. Aranya sits down on the window sitting and bangs her hand on the granite, and runs her hand through her hair.]

FADE TO BLACK
“Hour 2”
FADE IN
SCENE III
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Aranya starts fidgeting with her ring and after taking it off, throws it across the room.]

“Hour 3”
SCENE IV
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Aranya is sitting on the floor of her bedroom, crying in despair. Shot then changes to her crying on her bed, with a blanket over herself.]

FADE TO BLACK
“Hour 4”
SCENE V
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Aranya is looking at her left ring finger, which now has only one ring instead of two, while holding a glass of wine. Aranya’s gulps down the wine in one swig and gets up from her bed.]

[After getting up, Aranya picks up a broom from a corner of her room, picks up her phone, switches on the torch and begins looking for her ring. Aranya is unable to find it, and throws the broom on the floor infuriatedly.]

“Hour 5”
FADE IN
SCENE VI
INT. ARANYA’S BEDROOM – DAY
[Aranya is in her bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror. There are tears running down her cheeks, and her makeup has spread across her face. Aranya turns on the tap and begins washing her face, still crying. Shot then changes to Aranya sitting on her bed, trying to eat rat poison. However, Aranya hesitates and finally puts the poison on her bed. Aranya puts her hands in her hair in a defeated manner. This is when the phone rings again. Aranya walks up to the bed, sits down and answers the call.]

[Aranya is talking on the phone, and is arguing with the other person on the line. Then, Aranya’s expression changes and Aranya begins to smile. Aranya giggles a bit and is very happy. Aranya talks to the other person as if there was no argument before. The shot then pans down to show the telephone on the table and zooms into the wire, which has been disconnected the entire time.]
